About Institute

Government College of Pharmacy, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar has been started in 1996 with the efforts of Honorable Late Shri. Govindbhaiji Shroff as a part of his social obligation to which Marathwada region was awaiting. Initially, it has been started as one of the Departments of Government College of Engineering, Chatrapati Sambhajinagar. Subsequently in 1999, it acquired the status of full-fledged Government College. Now, the college is run in its own building of around 8000 sq. ft. The institute in its short span has established credibility to impart quality education to masses. The institute is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Chatrapati Sambhajinagar and is approved by PCI and Government of Maharashtra. It is conducting four years B.Pharm course with annual intake of 60 students, two year M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics: intake - 15) and M.Pharm (Pharmaceutical Chemistry: intake - 08) and 6 years Post Baccalaureate integrated Pharm D course. The college is also an approved research centre for doctoral studies from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada Univeristy, Chatrapati Sambhajinagar

I am honored to welcome you to Government college of Pharmacy, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar a venture of Government of Maharashtra, established in 1996 with a futuristic vision to provide qualitative education by applying innovation and dynamic pedagogical techniques. Since inception, the institute has focused on providing health care services with dedication and commitment. The institutes vision and mission are reflected in its faculty, staff, student and alumni. We cater to the local/regional needs in synergy to University-level education and by large to the social and economic development of the region. The institute has well-deserved reputation for offering high quality programs at both undergraduate and post graduate levels. The team of dedicated and committed faculty maintains the quality of instruction. The B. Pharm., M. Pharm. course in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical chemistry, Pharm. D. and Ph. D. program stand testimony to endeavors of the institution. At present college library has approximately 4036 text and reference books, worth Rs. 45 Lakhs, covering a wide area of knowledge. Eight international and 22 National and 7 International Journals are subscribed presently as hard copy or Internet editions. The institutes beautiful and serene campus are conducive to create a peaceful learning atmosphere. The building is a home of well equipped library, departments, state of the art resources, analytical instrumentation facilities, industrial pharmacy setup, industrial collaboration for research and training reflecting academic growth. The upgrading of classrooms, lecturing facilities and specialist laboratories, indoor and outdoor sports, recreation facilities and administrative functions towards e-governance are a part of ongoing venture. We strongly believe that exposure is the key in shaping personalities and the faculty of the institute is constantly striving for transforming students to meet the challenges in the profession. The concept of mentoring introduced to trail the progress of students and counseling has strengthened the bond of faculty, parents and students. The institute has proved to be a fountain of high values and principles and a dedicated specialized place of learning and practice.
